It is mid-year and NVSSA could not be more excited for the self-storage industry Nevada.  Your Board of Directors has been hard at work reaching out to industry partners and supporters to develop relevant and informational networking sessions.  As we head into summer, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we are now hosting networking breakfasts in both southern and northern Nevada.  The breakfast networking meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month at locations alternating between Reno and Las Vegas beginning with Reno in January.

NVSSA membership is a great investment for your facility.  There are many valuable benefits including affiliation with the National SSA at no additional cost.  Our members benefit from free legal information, free education sessions and an organization that responds to your needs as an owner operator.  We have also developed a lease fully compliant with Nevada lien laws that is available to members only in a variety of formats at unbelievably low rates.  A single facility can reap all these benefits for the incredibly low price of $200.  Come visit us at www.nvssa.organd do some exploring.  Don’t forget to sign up to receive our emails so that you are in the loop on self-storage happenings in Nevada.

One of the invaluable NVSSA membership benefits is that we are continually advocating the Nevada legislature on behalf of all owner operators.  We strive to give a voice not only to the large urban owners but also to the one shop mom and pop rural facilities.  We have had a number of successes including vital changes to SB-150 and AB-182.  Detailed changes are available for viewing at www.nvssa.org!   We are currently preparing for the Nevada legislative session in 2017 and will need your support at our annual fundraiser during the SSA Fall Conference in September.  Keep an eye out for more details on how you can support legislative change in Nevada.

NVSSA is happy to address any questions or concerns that you may have.  Call Valerie at 702-952-2455 or you may submit your suggestions via email to: Valerie@amnevada.com.
